CVAS Long Term Residents get special consideration Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has animals who, for a variety of different reasons, spend an extended amount of time in the kennels. In an effort to increase their chances of finding homes, the adoption fee has been reduced to half for the top four dog and top four cats who have spent the most time in the kennels. Therefore, the top four dogs who have "seniority," as we call it, are $52.50; and the top four cats are $35. Sometimes a four-legged friend just needs some extra time to find the right family for their needs. We're very proud at CVAS to say that we give animals every opportunity to find homes. Our website will feature a furry friend on our homepage who has spent a long time in the kennels, under the Long Term Residents section.
