Adoption Feedback - Happy Tails

These are just a few of the hundreds of animals who are successfully adopted from the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter every year! This is why we do what we do every day.

Won't you please consider getting your next pet from a shelter?

If you have a Happy Tail from CVAS, email your story and picture to cvasoc@innernet.net to be included in this page.

"Sarge"

Hi, my name is Mary and I adopted Chance (known as Sarge) 4 weeks ago. As you can see he is growing very fast and is doing so well. His favorite place to sleep is with me in my bed. I thought I would send you some pics to let you know how the little guy is doing. He is a sweetheart and well mannered little guy and such a joy and great company to have around.

"Stubby"

Despite Stubby's rugged good looks (and kinked tail), his stay at the shelter was rather long. However, the staff never gave up hope that the right person would come in and see the cat of their dreams in Stubby. After appearing in the newspaper as "Pet of the Week", that hope was realized and Stubby finally went home with his "forever family"! Congratulations Stubby!

"Ebony"

Ebony came into the shelter as a stray - scared, shy, and slightly underweight. Her stay at the shelter was brief, as she quickly caught the eye of one of our shelter volunteers. She is now a happy, healthy, and confident dog living with her new family which consists of three young boys, an Australian Shepherd, and two kitties to keep her company!

"Oliver"

Oliver, a very personable tiger cat with beautiful orange eyes, came into the shelter when his owners could no longer take care of him. After staying with us for about a month, he was finally adopted by a family who could give him the love and attention he deserved!

"Apollo"

He was enormous, he drooled, and he was the best natured dog you'd ever want to meet! Although Apollo's original owners found they couldn't handle him, his new adoptive parents think he's a dream! Apollo is now living large on a farm with three other "Saints" to keep him company (all girls too - Lucky Dog). Best of luck to you, Apollo!

Please consider adoption from an animal shelter when looking for your next pet. Your new best friend may be waiting for you!
