Membership
Membership is vitally important to operating the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. It allows us to sustain our operating budget so we can get more pets into loving homes.
Our adoption fees, while appropriate, don’t begin to cover the cost of the care for each animal. As part of our annual shelter budget, it costs about $250 for each pet who comes through our doors. We spay or neuter all adoptable pets as part of our philosophy to reduce unwanted animals. We vaccinate, medicate and test animals to assure adoptions go smoothly and we provide a microchip for permanent identification once an animal is adopted.
We continually work to make people more aware of the shelter and the importance of adopting homeless pets. Memberships help us do that every day. Your membership support also allows us to investig
ate cruelty reports.
Members receive a 10% discount on merchandise purchased at the shelter as well as our regular newsletter.
We cannot do this without our supporters and our members. We feel a special friendship with the people who have supported us in our endeavor to provide a warm, loving and caring environment for our furry friends. So help us help them.
