CVAS Thrift Stores
The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter operates two Thrift Stores, one in Chambersburg at 66 S. Main St., and one in Shippensburg at 1 E. King St. Our thrift stores provide substantial, needed income every month to help maintain the daily operations of the shelter. Anyone who shops at or donates to our thrift stores will be directly affecting the lives of homeless animals.
Both stores offer a wide variety of merchandise at incredibly reasonable prices. Our thrift stores include men’s, women’s and children’s clothing that are clean, folded and free of stains and damage; shoes, handbags, hats, gloves, jewelry and books; household supplies like dishes, cookware, utensils, small appliances, bedding, lamps and rugs; collectibles, collections and antiques; decorating items like mirrors, pictures, paintings, flower arrangements, knickknacks; and even furniture.
For up-to-date photos of merchandise, check out our Facebook pages for our Thrift Stores. Make sure you "like" them to get daily finds!
Donations of merchandise for the thrift stores are welcome, but staff ask that they be dropped off in Chambersburg between 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and in Shippensburg between 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Saturday. We stop taking donations 15 minutes prior to closing to allow our staff to finish up their daily accounting.
